Canned wine becomes big business for some local winemakers

“It’s a concept that’s catching on and it turns out local growers are behind this wine-in-a-can craze. 

Andrew Jones of Field Recordings said he wanted to do something different. 

“It was just something I thought would be fun when we first started,” he said. 

Jones first started canning wine in 2013. Back then, it was two percent of his business. Fast forward to 2016 and it’s almost 40 percent. 

“I didn’t realize how much canned wine would catch on,” continued Jones. “
